Life

Sun Sep 21, 2008, 6:38 PM
Hey people. Two-ish months after my last journal entry. I need to be writing more, but it's hard, and I'm about to tell you why. I have recently come to a realization. My life is incredibly awesome. Let's start early. Well, since the last journal entry, a lot has happened. Firstly, Amy and I started dating. But, without the dates, because I have no money until I pay off my computer. The good news, I pay off my computer next month. We were in an unofficial relationship for a few days earlier on this summer, but Amy said we should wait for a little bit, being that we barely knew each other. However, we decided to pick it up again and make it official after we saw Burn After Reading, which was a hilarious movie, but was very dark and not everyone's cup of tea. Both of our parents are in favor (kinda) of the relationship, but we have their approval, which is always good. But we've been hanging out pretty much every other day, give or take, since about 2 weeks ago.

I've been working exactly enough time to be convenient (i.e. have money and not impede my social life) and have realized how much my job rocks. While it's not the best job ever, my managers are all reasonable, if not pleasant, and I'm fairly good at what I do. Granted, I've been doing it for almost a year (OMG), but I still appreciate it. One complaint though, I get paid a great deal below minimum wage. It's because I'm a student or because of the industry I work in or something, but all my friends still make more than I do.

I'm good at all my classes, and even though it's the beginning of the year, I have a 98% average. If only it could stay like that…

However, talking about school has lead me to the one piece of sadness that has blemished my near perfect existence. Unfortunately, Sebs and I only share 1 class. This means that I never get to talk to him. And, because of Amy, I don't talk to him as much as I used to when we hang out as a group. Also, his father has turned into some (please excuse my use of this stereotype, but it will prove my point) Asian-esque father who believes the true way to success is leave yourself personal time solely for sleep, and little time at that. Sebs now works 4 - 5 weeknights and usually all weekend. This has lead to me not having spoken with him properly for at least 2 weeks. And, when we saw the Dark Knight the other night, it was Sebs, Shelb, John, Amy, and me. And I felt so bad because Sebs didn't have a girlfriend to be with, and it was two couples. And, whenever I try to hang with Sebs, he's busy. And I really don't want to fall out with him, because he's such a close friend of mine.

Also, my parents have become awesomely laxed. And basically let me do whatever I want to as long as I abide within their wishes.

Well, that's pretty much all I have to say. See you guys later.

The Adventures Continues…

Wed Aug 13, 2008, 8:16 PM
Ok, yesterday, I went on the greatest adventure in human history. Here is what happened…

Amy was chillin' at my house, and we left to do some errands. We had to go to the UPS store to drop of my iPod, which broke, get some Starbucks, and go home. After that, we were going to hang out with Shelb and Sebs. The round trip was going to take us 20 minutes, according to Google Maps.

So we go to the UPS Store just fine. We drop off my iPod, and the Map told us to go down King St. N. which is supposed to go for about 6 km. 10 minutes and, all of a sudden, the concrete ends and we drive onto a dirt road. The Starbucks is on University Campus. Yeh. So all of a sudden, we realize we're in St. Jacob's. It's a small town about 20 minutes OUT from Waterloo, where I live. It is not cool. And we have no idea how to get home.

About and hour later, and three circles through St. Jacob's later, we turn on the GPS and have it take us home. (By the way, we didn't use it earlier because it doesn't have a proper map pack and takes horrible round-about ways)

We get to Starbucks, we order 3 drinks, and we're being super friendly and telling them about our trip and such, because we ordered complex drinks and it was taking a while. Well, they figure it out, and… neither of us have money in our checking accounts. And we are left, standing there, apologizing as fast as we can that we can only pay for one.

Well, we get to Shelb's house, and we transfer this whole story to Shelb, and we record our podcast. I will link you people when our site finalizes and everything. So we record for about an hour, then Sebs shows up, and we decide to get dinner. Shelb informs us that she will buy dinner, but only has money to go to Sobey's. So we run off listening to dance music all the way, and buy 2 frozen pizzas, some pogos, and some golden grahms. We run back to Shelb's house and eat it all.

After dinner, we all go back to my house so that I can be home on time. We hang out at my place for a bit, and I conclude my day of awesomeness.

OMG! AN ENTRY!

Mon Aug 11, 2008, 3:42 PM
Ah, an entry. If only I could remember everything that has happened within the last 4 months and relay it on to whoever notices that I've written this I would, but my memory is not that fantastic. If I breeze over something that you were not previously aware of, comment and let me know. Well, shall we begin?
Well, school is finished. I passed, and I don't really want to talk about it any more. I school all year. Bah. At the beginning of this summer, I spent a week in the Republic of Cuba with my family and very good friend, Sebi. I spent the week drinking and loving it, because in Cuba, the drinking age is 16. By the way, I am a super heavyweight. Nothing fazes me. However, being a particularly relaxing vacation, not much happens, so I will be moving on. The second week in July, having just got back Cuba, I met a new, but very good, friend of mine, Amy. We've been hanging out almost constantly since then. The week after I met Amy, we headed out for Utica, New York, for the Generation Conference. That was a good time. Always very high energy with those people. That pretty much sums up my summer up to now. I've been working quite a bit, and got a nice little raise.
As for the rest of the summer, Shelb is moving out to Humber College very soon, so we're all going to help her leave her home. Also, we've decided to go to ComiCon next July. Yay! But I've been hoping to be doing some more writing, so you may be seeing some activity here soon. Also, I'm starting a podcast with Amy. I'll let you know when we have a live feed going. For now, good night and good luck.

P.S. I got an XBOX 360! I win! My gamertag is JarrekMaar, so if you want to play some games with me, just message me and tell me that you're adding me.

Caught

Thu Mar 6, 2008, 7:07 PM
Hey. Guess what? I can't use my laptop at school for a decent while. Do you know why? Because I was caught in the back room connected to the internet. That's pretty much all I have to say right now.
