So I have to wait for everyone to get back down the hill so I can go up with them. I have an incredible amount of trouble steering, and end up crashing. Without the ability to resurrect myself. At the end of the lessons, my instructor looks down and says, Your skis are broken. And sure enough, the brake on my left ski has been digging down into the snow the entire time. So I go to get new skis, and notice my poles are different lengths. i don`t to cause any more commotion, so I just deal with it. I head up the ski lift independently for the first time, and one pole is knocked out of my hand.
I make one run without my pole, then have to head back up the ski lift to retrieve it. I ski around for a while, when Chris suggests we head down a blue square. I know some people might be laughing at me because of that, but it was my first time, so go easy on me.
As I begin going down this hill, I get going to fast and attempt to slow down. This, of course, results in my flipping over and losing my favourite hat. I decide not to retrieve it because of the tremendous effort that would have to be exhibited to re-climb the hill.
After all of this, I head home exhausted. As it turns out, however, I had a shift. So I dress and head off to work until ten.
While this sounds like a long-winded complaint, it was actually a lot of fun. It`s just fun to complain. Plus I got to listen to my iPod at work, so that was a definite plus.
Well, before I fall onto my keyboard asleep, I`m going to head off.
Good night, and good luck,
Spencer
P.S. - Sorry `bout not writing for so long. Life is busy. Little news, I have begun taking a film school with the professionals who work at my church, so I might have some good stuff to post sooner or later.
